I bought this set to complete the full set of pasta cutters offered by KitchenAid. I do not own the ravioli maker, but have a press that works well for that purpose. The roller and cutters work exactly as I expected they would. As long as one feeds the pasta through the cutters cleanly and straight, the end results turns out very well. It's important that the dough is the proper texture and is floured before cutting to ensure that the cut pieces of pasta can be easily separated.I removed one star because I feel there's a failure in the concept... One must mix and prep the dough, then use the pasta roller to prepare the dough for the cutter. I'm fortunate enough to have two KitchenAid mixers, so I could roll one piece of dough to get it ready, then immediately run it through the cutter attachment on the second mixer before hanging the finished product to dry. If I didn't have the second mixer on hand, I guess one would have to roll and prep a batch of dough, then change out the roller for the cutter to complete the batch. If you're rolling thin pasta, based upon my experience I don't know how well that would work. I certainly wouldn't want to swap attachments for every piece of dough, and rolled thin the prepped dough would neither hang well nor be easy to pick up from a dough board without distorting the dough.Beyond that, the system worked fine (as all KitchenAid products do) and I'm pleased with the result.I recently purchased this set of cutters (for angel hair and thick noddles) after also buying two other sets (pasta roller and spaghetti cutter) and (fettucini cutter). The first time I used them, my pasta was easy to make and came out perfectly!!! I am Italian, so have had a hand-roller machine for a long time, and almost NEVER use it, because it's such a pain to hold it with one hand, while guiding the dough with the other, you almost have to be an acrobat, or at least need another person to help. Now, thanks to Kitchen Aid, I made the dough in my Kitchen Aid mixer, then simply attached the roller, then cutters, and, in a short amount of time, had PERFECT pasta (the first time I made spaghetti and wide noodles). I served BOTH for Christmas Eve dinner, and my guest was VERY IMPRESSED! Thank you Kitchen Aid for giving me a gift I will use for a long time. The pasta is easy to make and the instructions are fool-proof (even for ME!!). Also, thanks to AMAZON, as usual, their service is impeccable, I love ordering from them, everything always arrives quickly and safely, and returns are easy too! Anyway, if any of you non-Italians out there are hesitant about buying these attachments, DON'T BE!!! You will love them and have the greatest pasta in your life!!!When I was a kid I used to make pasta with my mother. We had to hand crank the pasta and it always took forever, but it was so much fun. I was really excited to get these, and I absolutely love them.I really wanted the egg noodle cutter and the angel hair attachment, I only wish they came with the roller in a set of 3 because I would have been set with those three attachments alone. Instead I was forced to buy 2 sets, the one with the roller and this as a separate set. Either way I love all of them, quick and easy to use. Set up and clean up is a breeze!I made a batch of pasta in 30 min the other night including the 15 min resting time. Everything is so quick and easy with these attachments! The fresh pasta is so worth it, you can whip up a batch almost as fast as you could cook the store bought kind. The cooking time is so reduced, and the pasta tastes fantastic!I would buy this again, and am even considering buying them again for a friend for her wedding.I was skeptical about how these would work after a disappointing ice cream freezer attachment, but they are worth every penny. I used to roll pasta either by hand or hand crank machine and couldn't imagine these would be much different. Wow. Wow. Wow! Is all I have to say. They work so well I bought ALL the Kitchenaid pasta attachments. The dough comes out leathery smooth and elastic with perfectly consistent results every time. This has taken my home chef pasta making to a whole other level. I even bought semolina flour because I felt my regular bread flour just wasn't on par with the professional quality of this equipment. As I am not the most coordinated person, it also takes about 1/4 the time required to use the hand crank version. Fresh homemade pasta is now a weeknight dinner instead of an all day art project in my house. You have Just got to try these to appreciate the efficiency and quality. Thank you, husband! ILY!!!I really enjoy the way that the kitchen aid pasta attachments work (with the exception of the ravioli maker). They are simple to use, clean, and store. Absolutely fantastic at a consistent pasta. However, Kitchenaid has always been very highly priced, and while the quality is high, the price just isn't justified in my opinion. There are a lot of other great pasta makers out there that work just as well but are hand crank models that come in at a fraction of the cost. Particularly when you want the full set of pasta making items. So, while I'm extremely pleased with the product overall, I had to only give 4-stars because I feel the price is inflated. If you have the money for this attachment and any time at all to spend in the kitchen, BUY THIS RIGHT NOW!!! You will not regret it!! Ok, well it does take a little while to get used to the attachments (first you make the dough, then you flatten it, and then you cut it, using different attachments)...and I did throw out a few batches of dough that I'd mis-estimated (too sticky or too dry doesn't work)...BUT...and this is a huge but...home-made pasta is SO good!!! And there are videos online to watch people using the attachment when you're first learning. After that it's not confusing. And again, all of this is SO worth it times 10 because there is nothing like home-made pasta, and you will LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!BuenĂsimo y muy Ăștil para hacer pasta! Muy buen materialI wanted a wider pasta. This is just perfect. Haven't try the Angel hair yet, but am sure it will be fine.I am really happy with it. My set is complete so all is good.I bought them as gifts and I know they will be much lovedGood
