Yes, it opens wine bottles easily, but there are just a couple of issues that caused me to give it four, rather than five, stars. First, it's difficult to line up the screw mechanism with the middle of the cork when the opener is placed on the bottle cap. The opener itself just doesn't seem to seat firmly on the top of the bottle. Second, why is there a big red bulb on top of the opener? Frankly, it's ugly, and it stays on whenever the opener is in the charging base.
